With Learn to Sail classes due to commence on 23 August 2025, its time to consolidate plans for the coming season.

The newly created Learn-to-Sail Sub-Committee will have a key role in planning and coordinating activities for the coming season including:

  • Roles for sailing instructors, LTS officials and volunteers
  • Volunteer agreements for instructors and assistant instructors
  • Rosters for sailing instructors, officials and volunteers
  • Training program for sailing instructors, LTS officials and volunteers
  • Local interpretation of the Australian Sailing Curriculum for conditions at SBSC
  • Class structures and dates
  • Recruitment and progression pathways for juniors and adults
  • Equipment and club boats used in Learn to Sail
  • Safety and risk management plans applicable to SBSC Discover Sailing Centre activities

Members interested in being part of the Learn-to-Sail Sub-Committee are invited to attend an initial meeting at SBSC this coming Friday

  • When: 5:30pm-7:00pm
  • Date: Friday 16 August
  • Where: In person @ SBSC 68 Hill End Terrace, West End 4101
  • Teams Option available.
