Diane Kelsey, Senior Instructor and Club Support Officer with Australian Sailing, has seen firsthand the impact that a confident, well-supported instructor team has on the success of Learn to Sail programs, and ultimately on club growth and member retention.

South Brisbane Sailing Club has been offered an exclusive, hands-on professional development experience tailored specifically to our Discover Sailing team. 

This one-on-one club program includes:

• A live Learn to Sail session review in the morning, where Diane will work directly with SBSC instructors on the water, observing, supporting, and coaching in real time.
• A practical, skills-focused workshop in the afternoon, designed to immediately elevate delivery quality and strengthen long-term coaching capability.

This session is a powerful way to:

• Strengthen instructor confidence and consistency
• Improve sailor engagement and retention
• Support workforce planning and future instructor development
• Build a stronger, more sustainable Learn to Sail pathway for your club
