Annual Power Boat inductions are a requirement of Maritime Safety Queensland for anyone who wishes to crew on our power boats. This requirement extends to all previous inductees, who need to be re-inducted for this season. 

Power boat crews provide critical safety support for on water activities under the guidance of the (Principle) Race Officer or Discover Sailing Principal, while also being responsible for communications with the River City Ferries Control Centre, other commercial vessels and any other vessels on the river.  

To be inducted as a volunteer on Power Boats you need to;

• Be a current member  or intend to be a member for the 2025-2026 membership year,
• Hold a current Working with Children card (Blue Card) issued by the Queensland Government and linked to our Club,
• Hold a current Recreational Marine Drivers License (RMDL) to be a driver.

Please note that the duties of drivers and crews on power boats is physically demanding.
