New Sub-Committees

A new initiative of the 2025-26 Management Committee is to expand member participation in sub-committees on specific topics to allow members with a special interest or skills to become involved in planning for areas of interest to them.

The newly formed Sub-committees are:

  • Learn to Sail Sub-Committee – Planning and oversight of adult and junior Learn to Sail programs to promote continued improvement of participant, parent and instructor skills, safety and enjoyment
  • Membership Growth Sub-Committee – Improve attraction, retention, and engagement of members though activities, events and records management
  • Budget, Finance and Revenue Sub-Committee – Improve financial standards, budgets, sources of revenue and cost efficiency aligned with Clubs objectives

These three sub-committees sit alongside our current Sailing Sub-Committee.

  • The Sailing Sub Committee manages the SBSC racing program, significant sailing events, results, sailing awards, event authority and safety management systems
